About Jenny
The focus of Greenlight is on global solutions enabling evolution and impact.
Jenny’s experience includes having been a senior litigation partner in one of New Zealand’s largest national law firms, lead counsel at the New Zealand Bar and chair of various entities. Her work for many years (since the mid 1990s) has had a cross-border and global focus and she led a range of high profile complex international cases. Jenny was a regular speaker on high-level commercial law panels in the US and Asia-Pacific region. Now she is involved in expansive and global dialogue and forums identifying game-changing initiatives.
Jenny moved from litigation to proactively finding effective and pragmatic solutions and backing those ventures – she is a strong supporter of the ability of innovation and tech to enable change and democratise access in a number of settings. Greenlight Ventures NZ has evolved to hold an extensive portfolio of seed investments with global impact.
In December 2021 Jenny was named APAC Entrepreneur magazine’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 (venture capital and private equity) in recognition her work as a venture investor and venture philanthropist. Jenny was awarded an international Women Empowerment Principles Leadership Award for 2021-2022 which was presented in London in April 2022. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of arts, manufactures and commerce (FRSA).
